Desperation Versus Inspiration

In the midst of chaos, a tiny spark of positive energy can be enough to convert desperation to inspiration. My sewing space is currently a disaster (I still haven't unpacked from my quilting retreat a month ago) but I finally got around to pre-washing some fabric that I had gathered over the course of the year. The sunny colours bring back memories of laughter-filled summer excursions to quilt shops and quilt shows with family and friends across several provinces and remind me that summer will come again.
