Still Waters
My friend, Dave Perkins, built a fabulous coffee table for the cottage; he designed it deep enough to hold a folded quilt under glass and just the right size to gather around for friendly conversation.
I decided to make a special quilt to fit inside, and started with this fabulous fish pattern from Alaska, designed by Lisa Moore (and her "husband and fishing buddy" Dave Moore). Originally, I intended the fish to be swimming around the swirly pattern side of the quilt, but they just disappeared and looked more like fish skeletons... so I bought them some beautiful water fabric to swim in on a trip to Nova Scotia...
