I recently joined the Ormstown-Howick quilt guild (OHO Quilters) ; one of the 2012-2013 challenges was to create a Civil War type of soldier's quilt known as "cot-to-coffin". I saw the opportunity to pick up a project which had been laying quiet in a box for a long time---an Underground Railroad/Jacob's Ladder quilt I had started in a class taught by a friend, Julie Tessier, in 2002.

As I assemble the blocks, I am struck by the "infinity" symbol that seems to be appearing, so have named the quilt "Infinity" in honour of the cycle of life and death, not just from cot to coffin, but all the way from cradle to grave and beyond.

The deadline is coming up fast... I have all my blocks made, but still need to assemble the top and do the quilting... and only six days until the deadline...

Update June 13, 2013: the top was completed before heading to work this morning; we'll see if there is time to quilt it before the meeting on Monday.
